ASA 101 · Basic Keelboat Sailing

Learn to skipper a 20-27′ sloop-rigged keelboat by day in light to moderate winds. Basic terminology, sail trim, points of sail, seamanship, and operating safely.

COASTAL CRUISING

ASA 103 · Basic Coastal Cruising

Skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary 25-35′ keelboat in moderate conditions. Boat systems, engine operation, docking, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, anchoring, weather, and seamanship.

ASA 105 · Coastal Navigation

Navigational theory and practice for safe coastal and inland navigation, chart and pencil work ashore. Pairs with the on-water skills in ASA 103, 104, and 106.

CATAMARAN

ASA 114 · Cruising Catamaran

Skipper an auxiliary-powered cruising catamaran of roughly 30-45′ on a multi-day liveaboard cruise in moderate to heavy winds. Multiple instructors on staff certify this level.
